Starting a new lifestyle...at a new age

Hi! Welcome to a peek into my journey in getting back my healthy lifestyle!

I am a SAHWM ("w" is for working) with 2 young boys and a husband that enjoy "treats"...they enjoy "treats" almost to the point of where it really isn't a treat anymore..... they have made it a food group!!

I turn 38 today....whew hew!!

I used to be healthy/active/sporty...now I'm lucky to decide what day I'm going to get out for a walk (which usually doesn't happen, right??)...BUT I have decided that I'm taking 2 years (so I'll be 40 for those that don't feel like doing the math) to get myself BACK into being healthy/active/sporty....this I've decided to do for MYSELF first, and for my family second.

I think if I put myself first, it seems more of a personal goal, and something that will trickle down to my family.....I hope.

OK...so as soon as my camera is charged I will be posting a "before" pic...ugh.

I have decided that it's TIME...I have everything I need at my fingertips to create a change in my body...just sometimes my stomach takes over...I'm the binge/purge person...minus the purge

So...going to get right to the nitty gritty!!
Numbers and strategy.
I was lucky enough to come across another weight loss blog (http://ronisweigh.com/) and she had a chart in excel that I'm going to use (and once I figure out how to link it here...I will;)

I also have a few other "helpers" to aide in my quest for my healthy body (notice I'm using the word healthy and not skinny...I never have nor will be "skinny"..I used to be an athlete...so I was healthy and muscular)
Last year (august to be exact...) I purchased TurboFire...seeing it multiple times on the tv late at night (thanks to the youngest member of my family!) it inspired me to get fit....LOVE it. It even comes with sample menus and recipes and a full outline of the workouts....plus Chalene Johnson (the instructor) isn't annoying...she's inspiring and motivating!...just wish I would STICK TO IT!!

Then, the newest addition to my "healthy makeover" is I've recently become a Distributor for a health company called It Works (mainly b/c the products DO work and isn't the "typical" MLM business)...because I have over 80lbs to lose and I've had 2 children, there's a good chance my abdomen will (see...using words to push me into the future/end result!!;) be flabby with excess skin. With this company, they have created a wrap (it comes in a box of 4) that is infused with herbal extracts, essential oils and such that help to detox the skin and breakdown fat as well as to tone and firm the skin (which is essential when losing weight...but no one else seems to think so until they've lost the weight and then they're left with flabby skin!!)
...there is also supplements and such to all compliment with a healthy and balanced lifestyle....blah blah...I'll be showing my personal results on here.

wt: 208 (and I actually weighed myself this morning, and I'm down to 206.6)
Bust: 43.5
Waist (above navel): 41.5
         (at navel)       : 44.5
         (hips)             : 46.5   (these 3 are for the It Works wraps so I can see where change is occurring)
R arm: 12
L arm: 13 (really?!)
R leg: 24.5
L leg: 24
R calf: 17
L calf: 17
Total inches 283.5...yikes! So maybe I don't need to post a before pic!! ;)

 I was tracking my food (something that I will be restarting) on a site called My Fitness Pal...love it...they have listing for ALL foods...as well you can add in your exercise so you know you calorie deficit or excess....I'm not as regular with it as I'd like..sometimes to measure, look up, and post a meal can take some time...the rest of this week I think I'll be putting my fave recipes and such into it and then it won't take me so long!


So...now for my first step in my healthy body quest....CLEANING OUT MY CUPBOARDS, FRIDGE AND FREEZER~ (my poor husband won't know what hit him!)
